ISTE coaching standard 3 requires that technology coaches create and maintain “effective digital age learning environments”. More specifically, this means that tech coaches work to model effective classroom management in a digital environment, they help troubleshoot technology issues and maintain, select and evaluate digital tools, and they use digital communication to connect with students, parents, and the wider local and global community.
To demonstrate my achievement of this standard, my reflections include resources I created on designing and managing a digital learning environment as well as resources on organizing, selecting, and evaluating digital tools. One feature of my reflection is my commentary on tips for addressing educators concerns for embracing digital technology. This reflection stands out because it addresses an important question for technology coaches: how can one best inspire educators who are reluctant to welcome technology-enhanced learning?
